Itthipat Buranatanyarat yesterday ended his two-year title drought on the Thai PGA Tour with a one-stroke victory at the season opener in Prachin Buri. Chinnarat had five birdies on the first 12 holes, but blew away his chances with bogeys on the 14th and 15th. Itthipat, whose round included five birdies and two bogeys, received the winner's cheque of 240,000 baht, while Chinnarat took home 132,000 baht from the two-million-baht event. However Itthipat, whose first and only previous win on the tour was recorded in 2015, was not happy with his putting. The second leg of the Thai PGA Tour, the Singha-SAT Bangkok Championship, will be held at Suvarnabhumi Golf & Country Club from April 19-22.
